We arrived home from our winter trip on March 23, 2018. We had three lists of small and big repairs to do on the MH. When we arrived home it was cold, raining and just miserable so we couldn't begin the repairs right away. We checked out the possibility of buying a new MH but couldn't find anything we either wanted to pay the price for or that we loved enough. We were going to bring the MH to a repair shop but at $145.00 an hour decided we could do the majority of repairs ourselves especially since only two of the repairs would definitely need a professional to do.
Ron replaced the slide topper with some help from our lawn guys. Thank you Paul and Joshua! It wasn't planned but they jumped in without being asked.
Joshua also happened to be doing the lawn when our replacement recliner arrived and he helped take the old one out and bring the new one into the MH.
Ron replaced the washer/dryer that happened to arrive when our friends were here because we had just picked them up at Logan Airport and they wanted to get their dog Riley before going home. He helped carry the washer/dryer in with Ron and also helped install it. Thanks Wes. My job was to make sure everyone was fed. LOL
Except for the wash & wax job on the MH, replacing the fuel filter, oil change and sticker we did everything else. As I said most were small things we are capable of doing.
We spent time with our friends Donna and Wayne for our Friday night dinners and caught up on the happenings in the world.
In between working on the MH we scheduled to have Ron's Mom's living room rug cleaned. We both went over to move the small pieces of furniture and cleaned out some closets and drawers for her.
She was very happy with the rug cleaning results. She did not want to replace it so it worked out well.
We also attended our great grandson Jack's first Birthday. He is so cute and funny.
We also caught up with our friends that we met in Florida who happen to live in Norton, Berniece and Ken. They showed us their replacement chairs in their MH and how their dog loves them! LOL
The only major thing left to do on the MH is have the leveling jacks repaired. We had to make a decision whether we will be heading to Alaska this summer and stop at HWH in Iowa on the way or just wait until next year. After much debate we decided to hold off on the Alaska trip and book some short trips locally. Hence we will begin our first excursion only 30 minutes away in Bourne. The goal here to to make sure everything we have done works!
